THE MARCH LIVING CAMPAIGN: Madeira @ The Battle Standard CONNECTICUT Tickets
Jun 4 @ 6:00 pm – 10:30 pm
The March - Madeira

Far and away from the cobblestone streets of Haven lies The Greatwood, the sole location the highly prized Siela tree. These massive trees engulf the sovereign land of Madeira where, nestled high above the dangers below, resides the canopy refuge of Neiskas.  The recently inaugerated Suzerain of Neiskas has uncharacteristically reached beyond their borders with a plea for urgent assistance. This undiscovered frontier evokes curiosity and this Madeiran cry for help begs the attention of those seeking fame and fortune as well as those do-gooders looking to answer the call.  After many lifetimes of seclusion the “people” of Madeira are now revealed and it will take heroes from outside their homeland to relieve these tensions.

Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition Adventurers League @ The Battle Standard CONNECTICUT Tickets
Jun 6 @ 2:30 pm – 6:30 pm
D&D Adventurers League

WHAT IS THE D&D ADVENTURERS LEAGUE?

The D&D Adventurers League is an ongoing official campaign for Dungeons & Dragons. It uses the fifth edition Dungeons & Dragons rules, and features the Forgotten Realms setting. You can play D&D Adventurers League games literally anywhere. Players use the fifth edition rules to create a character and bring that character to games anywhere D&D Adventurers League play is happening.

DUNGEON MASTERS

If you’re a Dungeon Master or would like to try your hand at being the Dungeon Master, the D&D Adventurers League is a great way to run D&D games without having to spend a lot of time creating your own campaign world or adventures.

As a Dungeon Master, you have the opportunity to weave a fantastic shared story for your players, as well as take the spotlight as the monsters and villains presented in D&D Adventurers League adventure content. You are also responsible for adjudicating the rules, and providing your players with their characters’ experience points and rewards at the end of each session.

Private Games

If you plan on running a game in private, all you need to do is purchase the adventure you want to run, prepare the adventure, find some players, and have a good time. Possible adventures include the Lost Mine of Phandelver from the D&D Starter Set; any of our hardcover adventure releases, such as Curse of Strahd or Storm King’s Thunder; or any of the adventures designated as D&D Adventurers League content on the Dungeon Masters Guild online.

A Note for New Dungeon Masters

The Lost Mine of Phandelver is recommended for new D&D players and Dungeon Masters. It’s a great way to introduce folks to D&D, and you can find it in the D&D Starter Set. Playing through the whole adventure can take characters up to 5th level. You can play this at home or as part of an in-store play event. It takes several play sessions to complete the adventure. Tracking your play for this adventure on a D&D Adventurers League logsheet makes it official—you get to keep all your rewards no matter where you go next!

Public Games

If you plan on running a game at a store or public event, contact the organizer using our Store and Event Locator to help find one near you, or see the information below regarding organizing an event.

Ask the organizer if you’re responsible for purchasing the adventure online, or if they’re planning on doing so for you. Once purchased from the Dungeon Masters Guild, you can download the adventure, and even print it out if you like.

Prepare your adventure. Make sure you read through the adventure and make notes where appropriate. D&D Adventurers League adventures are easy to prepare and run.

Run a fun game! As the Dungeon Master, you help guide the players through the adventure, and facilitate the story coming alive. Make sure you follow the golden rule: Make decisions and adjudications during the game that enhance the fun when possible.

What You Need to DM

If you’re new to the role of Dungeon Master, you only need a few things to get started.

PLAYERS

Players kind of have it easy. All you need to do is, find an event, make a character, and show up and play. If you don’t already have a group to play with and would like to find a public event, go to our Store and Event Locator online. Make sure you call ahead to confirm times and to see if they have room for new players.

Creating a Character

Character creation is easy. You’ll need either a Player’s Handbook or a copy of the D&D Basic Rules, and a D&D Adventurers League character logsheet. Check out the D&D Adventurers League Players Guide for more information.

D&D5e THE MARCH LIVING CAMPAIGN: Hadrada @ The Battle Standard CONNECTICUT Tickets
Jun 6 @ 6:00 pm – 10:30 pm
The March - Hadrada

Hadrada the Ether Kingdom is an ancient land southwest of Haven. A land of natural beauty and deep history known for it’s precise roads, verdant forests, and grand toriis of wood, quartz and other wondrous materials that channel the might and grace of their native spirits, the Shademaidens. For centuries these Shademaidens have safeguarded the kingdom’s borders and guided their people in times of need. This is no longer. Hadrada is under siege. A titanic egg swallowed its capital city.  It’s single port city, Vigil, has fallen to Sahuagins who fled during the massive rift that swallowed the once pristine lake—a legacy of Magna Subcinctus (“The Great Shift”). An unlikely exile is looking to recruit any and all adventurers to combat the horrible blight. To reach Hadrada, adventurers must charter “The Rumrunner,” an airship of questionable worthiness captained by the tipsy treasure-seeker, Martini Cabrera. A long and perilous journey awaits!

D&D5e THE MARCH LIVING CAMPAIGN: Haven (An Intro Session) @ The Battle Standard CONNECTICUT Tickets
Jun 7 @ 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm
The March - Adventures in Haven
You eagerly step onto the dock, a solid piece of construction by the looks as it appears not to move at all in the wake below. Despite your insides still swaying, a distinct lack of back-and-forth, to-and-fro beneath your feet causes a much welcome upturn and show-of-teeth, just off to the corner of your mouth.  It was a long journey, or so it felt.  A good meal, a tankard of ale, a warm bed…all welcome fantasies overdue to be realized. You stand tall, inflated with smells of an ocean breeze you have been all too overwhelmed by, now assaulted by the aromas of city living, roasting meats, and fresh baked breads.  Eyes gently closed, now and smiling uncontrollably ear-to-ear, you are ready to take on the… “OUT OF THE WAY ALREADY!” yammers a dwarf as wide as he is tall.  He shoves you aside causing you to stammer just shy of sending you into the salt-marsh below!  You struggle for a moment to keep your calm then come to grips with the fact that you are too tired to be enraged. A deep breath later, you begin walking toward the buildings on the shoreline. No sooner than when your feet first leave wood to hit the earth below them, your ears are assaulted by a crier of exceptional skill, “Oi there!  C’mon now!” shouts the man in his finely plumed hat, yet mucked to his groin.  “Lookin’ for a bed are ya? C’mon I’ll take ya. The Battle Standard Tavern & Inn is where ya wants to be,” he states with complete confidence. “Keep up and I’ll show ya the way. Before long you’ll be bathed and singing shanties with the local folk!”

What is “Adventures in Haven”?

This session is recommended for those players new to D&D, new to D&D 5e, or just new to The March.  Each session begins with new character’s arrival and first experiences in Haven. Return players will join up with new players and make acquaintance at The Battle Standard Tavern & Inn. After meeting, characters can choose a direction to explore, an adventure lead provided, or just mingle with the locals. This session ranges from levels 1-3. Players may build characters beforehand using the Point-Buy system in the D&D 5e Player’s Handbook.  All written material produced by Wizard’s of the Coast is currently accepted however if you are unsure we ask you to please inquire.

We hope to see you in The March!

D&D5e THE MARCH LIVING CAMPAIGN: Atlazan @ The Battle Standard CONNECTICUT Tickets
Jun 9 @ 6:00 pm – 10:30 pm
The March - Atlazan

As you step from the longboat, the surf swirls around your boots and across the wide expanse of white sandy shore. It stands in stark contrast to the dark, verdant jungle rising upward into towering peaks before you. The weathered map you bought off of the crazed sailor in Haven shows this to be the island of Atlazan but it bears little resemblance to what is depicted upon the tattered parchment. The terrain itself is changed; reshaped in an unfathomable manner. The old salt kept rambling about the Maelstrom of Entropy and how through the madness and destruction would come renewal. This land before you has indeed been remade in ways both wondrous and terrible. What treasures lie waiting to be discovered and what horrors bar your way? If the beasts from the depths you faced on the voyage here are indicative, death lays waiting for but the smallest slip. Though much remains shrouded in mystery, adventure and riches await for those brave or foolish enough to seek it.
